Education Awards

The St. Andrew's Society of Connecticut awards small amounts for the study of various aspects of Scottish culture, such as dance, bagpipes, Gaelic singing, dance judging, kilt making. Workshops and culturally related camps are generally considered.

The awards are generally from $200 to $500. Members of the Society and Connecticut residents are given priority. The Society does not fund on-going lessons.

Applications are due March 15. Mail or attach to an email as described in the application.

Late applications may not be considered.

"Thanks so much to the St. Andrew’s Society of Connecticut for their generous scholarships toward my kids’ Scottish endeavors this summer!! Joy used hers to help attend Colaisde na Gàidhlig / The Gaelic College in Cape Breton with Matthew Phelps and Veronica MacIsaac making it happen and getting her to her first dance competition in Antigonish - while Claire and Leon Armstrong traveled to Scotland with our band the Talcott Mountain Highlanders to compete in the European Championships and the World Championships!!"       Coreyanne Armstrong
