The New Haven Gaelic Highland Pipeband The New Haven Gaelic Highland Pipeband was formed in 1968, and has remained active for 33 years. We currently have about thirty members including new members who are learning to play the pipes and drums. Our band meets on Friday nights at the New Haven Gaelic Football and Hurling Club, Venice Place, East Haven, Connecticut. We meet at 7 pm and have chanter practice until 8 pm. We then pipe until nine-fifteen. We are always looking for new members. For information please call Charlie Morrissey, (203) 239-1235. Our band kilts are the MacKensie tartan, pleated to stripe. We wear a black pipers tunic, white hose and glengarys. We participate in many parades and other stand-up jobs during the year. Our members come from all walks of life including students and retired people.
